Hoag Classic & Kingston Technology Scholarship Fund

Launched in early 2017, the Hoag Employee Education Scholarship Program empowers Hoag employees to grow their careers through advanced training and higher education. Funded completely by philanthropy, the program awards employees scholarships of up to $5,000 to help offset the cost of tuition, materials, and other expenses incurred while earning a degree, diploma, license, or certificate.

Since 2020, Kingston Technology has partnered with the Hoag Classic to fund $70,000 in employee scholarships on behalf of the program. In 2022, the Hoag Hospital Foundation and Kingston Technology hosted the inaugural Hoag Classic & Kingston Technology Scholarship Fund Awards Breakfast to celebrate scholarship recipients alongside their families, hospital leaders, and other donors to the program.

Past recipients have included administrative assistants, imaging and emergency care technicians, and interns, among others, who have received degrees in public health, business administration, nursing, and more. Some scholarship recipients have been first-generation college graduates. Others are sole providers balancing school and work while setting an example for their children. These are just some of their success stories. Together, they are elevating Hoag’s high-quality care to even great heights.
