At 24 weeks, my water broke, and I drove myself to Hoag’s nearby hospital in Irvine, knowing it would be a seamless transfer to Hoag Hospital Newport Beach, where I would receive the specialized care I needed.
I stayed there for weeks until a complication—a placenta abruption—put both my life and my baby's at risk. Born with underdeveloped lungs, my baby spent 10 weeks in Hoag’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), where the dedicated team provided life-saving care.
Hoag’s compassionate support made all the difference. The team empowered me to advocate for my baby, guiding me through every step and helping me feel confident in my decisions.
I am proud to support the growth of the Sun Family Campus in Irvine, particularly the NICU, which is essential for families in our Irvine community.
